Many people are aware of the sacrifices our servicemen and women make, but it's not often their families receive recognition for their sacrifices.

The Snowball Express is an all-volunteer nonprofit with a mission to bring hope, joy and new memories to children who have lost a parent on active duty since September 11, 2001.

On Friday, dozens of families of fallen military members boarded a plane to Dallas-Fort Worth for an all expense paid trip for fun and friendship.

To see some of the sights and sounds of the Snowball Express trip, watch the embedded video.
