A West Fork woman is dead after an accident Wednesday morning involving a garbage truck.

The accident happened just before 7:30 a.m. on Highway 170 West of I-540.

According to the accident report, 54-year-old Wylladean Richards died when the van she was riding in struck the rear of a garbage truck stopped on the side of the road.

The driver of the truck was loading trash into the back when the van Richards was in approached from the west.
