LR-Based Group Helping to Start 'Giving Tuesday'

Now that the buying frenzies of Black Friday and Cyber Monday have passed, some Arkansas groups are trying to get a new tradition started to help those in need.
Tuesday marked the first ever "Giving Tuesday," launched by charitable groups including Little Rock-Based Heifer International.
The idea is to take a step back during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and focus on helping others.
"We've already had Cyber Monday, Black Friday, even creeping into Thanksgiving with grey Thursday. Well now it's time to think about charity and giving in the best sense of the word, so that's what we're doing on Giving Tuesday," says Heifer International's Kelly MacNeil.
Heifer International helps fight hunger and poverty all around the world.
