UALR Student Reports Assault by Attacker Who Took His Cell Phone

A UALR student is recovering from an assault he reported happened on campus Monday night.
The UALR Department of Public Safety (DPS) says its officers were called to the area of the UALR Trojan Grill on the east side of campus shortly after 11 o'clock.
The 18-year-old student, whose name was not released, told DPS officers a man had come up behind him as he was walking toward the dorms and talking on his cell phone.
The student said the suspect, who wanted his cell phone, struggled with him while another man watched before his cell phone was taken and the men ran away.
The student reported being hit in the face a couple of times during the struggle and suffering two loose teeth. Paramedics treated him at the scene for cuts to his hands.
The suspects were described as two black men wearing hoodies.
