Pine Bluff Mandatory Surveillance Proposal to be Altered Before Vote

Pine Bluff's city council is sending a controversial surveillance camera proposal back to committee instead of putting the issue to a vote.

A Pine Bluff council member says an ordinance requiring surveillance cameras for certain businesses will be altered.

It was written after a gas station clerk was shot and killed in a convenience store without a surveillance system.

The ordinance will be reviewed by the ways and means committee before the next council meeting.
