Update: Victims Identified in Hot Spring County Car Crash That Killed Five

Update (November 16):
The Arkansas State Police (ASP) is investigating an accident that left five people dead and forced troopers to close part of Highway 7 for hours Thursday night.

The three-car crash happened several miles north of Bismarck a little after 7 o'clock and involved three vehicles.

The ASP accident report states that a Chevy Trailblazer driven by Brandy Kizziar, 37, was headed north when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Chevrolet truck driven by Edgar R. Martinez, 41. Both drivers were killed, along with three passengers in Martinez' vehicle.

A Chevrolet Malibu driven by Glenda McLemore, 54, then ran into the back of Martinez' truck and all three vehicles ended up on the west side of the southbound lane of traffic.

McLemore and one child in Martinez' vehicle survived the crash but were injured. Their conditions are not known.

All of the accident victims were from Bismarck, the accident report noted, and it also showed they were all wearing seat belts.

The other victims are identified as follows:
Killed
  • Chris A. Rocha, 2 (passenger in Martinez vehicle)
  • Jose M. Hernandez, 16 (passenger in Martinez vehicle) 
  • Eva F. Hernandez, 40 (passenger in Martinez vehicle)
Injured
  • Anna M. Rocha, 5 (passenger in Martinez vehicle)

Arkansas State Police are investigating an accident that left five people dead and forced police to close part of Highway 7 for hours Thursday night.

Officials say the crash happened a little after 7 o'clock and involved three vehicles.

State police and the Hot Spring County Sheriff's Office are still investigating the accident.
