School Uniforms Becoming Point of Contention in Camden Fairview

Some parents in Ouachita County are saying they want the Camden Fairview District to stop requiring uniforms.
The district has agreed to take a look at the program and possibly re-evaluate its effectiveness
"The board has agreed to go back and revisit it just to see what's best for the kids and perfectly willing to do that," Camden Fairview Superintendent Robert Davis says.
Even some parents who were initially for requiring uniforms when they started a few years ago are now saying it's become too expensive.
"In the beginning everything was a go for everyone, everyone's all excited about the change," says parent Sherrie Kidd. "But for families that got more than three kids it's kind of hard for them to supply the need for the kids with a uniform on a daily basis."
A local supplier of uniforms in Camden says with all the potential deals across town and even a buy back program they offer, there's no reason students shouldn't have a uniform for every day of the week.
