LRPD Officer Hospitalized After Traffic Accident

A Little Rock police officer was taken to the hospital Thursday after being involved in a traffic accident.
Officer Ron Matney was taken to Baptist Health after his motorcycle collided with a woman's vehicle on Chenal Parkway around 3:30 Thursday afternoon.
Early reports indicate Officer Matney and the woman were both turning east onto Chenal from Rahling Road in a double turn lane when they hit each other.
It is currently unknown who hit whom, exactly how the accident occurred or the extent of Officer Matney's injuries.
