Update: No School Friday for Little Rock's eStem Campus after Water Main Break

Update (1:50 p.m.):
eStem officials made the decision that SCHOOLS WILL REMAIN CLOSED FOR FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH.
As of noon today, the eStem schools were still without water service and the street outside the K-8 building remained closed.
eStem officials say "It is always a difficult decision to close school for a day; however, we are hopeful that by making this decision early, our parents and families will have sufficient time to make alternate arrangements for the care of our students."
Louisiana Street remained closed at noon as crews worked to restore water service to the area.

eStem officials have released the following about the incident that forced the shutdown of the campus this morning:
Attention eStem Families:
As you are aware, our schools were forced to close today due to unsafe conditions as a result of a broken major water line on Louisiana Street. The street has been damaged severely, and for a period of time, water was flowing like a river down the streets around our school buildings. The water has been shut off in the area for the near term as workers attempt to fix the problem.
We regret the inconvenience this event has caused, but we hope you understand that the safety of our students and staff is our priority. We are awaiting word on how quickly the problems will be fixed in the area and will make a determination on whether we will be able to have school tomorrow by noon today.

Little Rock's eStem campus has been shutdown for the day after a water main break.
School officials say K-8 parents need to come through the K-8 alley ONLY to pickup their children.
Parents picking up children are advised NOT to use the 3rd Street or Louisiana Street drop-off zones.
Police are on the scene to help coordinate student pickups.
