A hunter was shot this weekend near Amity.

According to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, 43-year old Chad Eyman mistook another hunter for a deer.

Derek Holcomb, 31, was shot in the leg below the knee, and is expected to recover.

Eyman and Holcomb have both been cited for not meeting clothing color requirements. Their cases will be heard by a judge in Clark County.

Holcomb was wearing an orange vest but not an orange hat, according to the authorities.

Arkansas Game and Fish officials want to remind hunters to be sure of their target before they shoot.
