Now that opening weekend of deer season has come and gone, the processing begins.

At Hoggs Meat Market in Little Rock, not only are they busy processing the meat, but getting ready for the Hunters for the Hungry program.

That's where hunters will bring in their deer to be processed and then donate it to needy families across the state.

Peggy Hogg said they give back also by not charging the hunters for processing.

"Like last year we had over 200 pounds donated, that wasn't even gun season, that was just off the youth hunt."

Hoggs said it will do a couple of thousand pounds by the end of deer season.
