Conway Police have arrested a man previously wanted for attempted capital murder.

Officers arrested Rodney J. (RJ) Smith on Thursday when he showed up to court on unrelated charges, police say.

Detectives had been searching for Smith since Oct. 16, after they determined he shot Samuel Davis outside of a mobile home in the Oakwood Village mobile home community the night before.

Police say they received reports of Smith sightings, but nothing led them to him until he showed up to court on Thursday.
