2 Killed After Deer Hit by Other Vehicle Flies Through Car Window

A deer that was hit by a car caused the death of two Nashville residents and injured two children on Thursday morning on State Highway 27 in Howard County.

According to the Arkansas State Police, 59-year-old Glenn Johnson and 61-year-old Margaret Johnson were killed after a deer that was hit by another car came through the window, causing the vehicle to lose control, leave the road and hit a building.

The crash report states that Glenn was driving southbound on State Highway 27 when an airborne deer that was hit by a northbound vehicle went through the window.

Injured in the crash were 8-year-old Ladarious Franklin and 10-year-old Dadrick Franklin, who were taken to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.

Glenn and Margaret Johnson were pronounced dead at the scene and taken to Howard Memorial in Nashville.

According to the crash report, none of them were wearing seat belts.
