Officers with the Arkansas Game and Fish want you to be safe and follow hunting regulations this season.
Some things you might not want to forget while spending some quality time out in the woods.... Many times after hunters have scored a kill, they forget or fail to tag the deer before moving it. This is an absolute must! Officers are enforcing this regulation, and you will be issued a citation if you do not comply. You are only allowed to hunt six deer per year which includes two buck tags.
At the Game and Fish safety matters. There were a total of 22 accidents reported last year during hunting season, but 14 of the 22 were simply from a lack of caution ... People falling out of tree stands. Be sure to secure yourself properly using a harness. Even working equipment from last year should still be checked. Also carry a whistle with you while hunting. This will alarm other hunters if you are ever in danger.
