St. Vincent Medical Center North in Sherwood just off the Wildwood exit was the backdrop for our live shot this morning where I had the privilege to talk to some of the nurses that happen to be on duty overnight.
Bryan Benton RN told us that their ED is proud to say that the time elapsed from the time a patient enters the ED to the time they leave is about 2 hours which he says is the national average. Also we found out that St. Vincent North is about 8 years old, has 12 exam rooms in the ED, 5 rooms dedicated to cardiac, they have an MD on duty along with 3 nurses at all times, and this particular ED sees close to 15,000 patients a year.
Have a great day.
