Rep. Rick Crawford Wins Re-election in U.S. House District 1 Race

Rep. Rick Crawford, of Jonesboro, has won a second term as U.S. Representative for Arkansas's 1st congressional district.

The Republican incumbent defeated Democrat Scott Ellington, Prosecuting Attorney for the Second Judicial District of Arkansas, the Green Party's Jacob Holloway and Libertarian Party candidate Jessica Paxton.

Crawford had 57-percent of the vote and Ellington had 39-percent while Paxton had 3-percent and Holloway had 2-percent with 96-percent of precincts reporting.

The 1st District includes the following 26 counties:
Arkansas, Baxter, Clay, Cleburne, Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Fulton, Greene, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Lawrence, Lee, Lonoke, Mississippi, Monroe, Phillips, Poinsett, Prairie, Randolph, Saint Francis, Searcy, Sharp, Stone, and Woodruff.

Crawford will be sworn-in to his second term in January.
