Of course all kinds of hunting keep many avid outdoors-men busy. The name of the game this weekend however: Youth Hunt. It's just two days only.
Hunting for most is a matter of tradition.
"It's what I grew up on. It's what my family grew up on," explained hunter, Shane Huey.
This weekend, it's about passing it on to the kids.
Todd Parker's taking his 13 year daughter hunting this weekend. For this dad though, hunting actually isn't something he learned early on.
"I grew up in Dallas in the city."
But as soon as he got a taste of Arkansas hunting, he knew he needed to pass it on.
"Well I've killed a couple of small doe," said Parker's daughter, Meredith about the Youth Hunt. "So I'm hoping to get a buck this weekend."
When it comes time to hop inside that deer stand Saturday morning, there are some rules you have to follow.
The kids have to be 6 to 15.
If they do have a hunter's education certificate, they only have to be within eye or earshot of an 18 year old. If they don't, an arms length from someone at least 21.
The deer they do get go towards the season limit and of course follow all those safety rules like wearing your hunter's orange.
