Arkansas Prison Escapee Caught near Pangburn

An Arkansas prison inmate who escaped from the Tucker Maximum Security Unit on Monday
afternoon has been caught near Pangburn.

KARK 4 News has learned that Curtis D. Reese, Jr., 33, was taken back into custody this morning.

Prison officials say he was found inside what was described as a cave about two miles into Cleburne County just over the White County line.

Reese was found by by officers with the Arkansas Department of Correction and Arkansas State Police

Pangburn is in White County and is the closest landmark community.

At noon today, Reese was on his way back to the Tucker Unit.

Officials say he could get an additional 10 years added to a 40-year sentence he began serving in 1998.
