Spirituality and medicine -- some say the marriage of the two is powerful. A 2001 prayer study conducted by the Journal of Reproductive Medicine reported that when people prayed for a group of women undergoing fertility treatments, the women conceived twice the rate as those who were not receiving any prayers. In this “Faith Matters’ report, KARK 4 News meets a Jacksonville cancer patient who believes in the power of prayer helping to heal.
