GRAPHIC VIDEO WARNING

The wonders of nature are not always easy to watch.

KARK 4 Chief Photographer Matt Thibault found out first hand today when he heard a loud noise coming from a large tree near 4th & Woodrow in Little Rock.

On closer inspection, he spotted a hawk* that had caught a grey squirrel in its talons.

While his camera rolled for about three minutes, the wildlife drama unfolded as the hawk seized its prey before flying away.

*An internet search indicates the big bird is likely a Red-Tailed Hawk.
