Helicopters, dogs and mounted officers are looking for Curtis Dwain Reese, Jr.
Officials with the Arkansas Department of Correction (ADC) say they have no reason to believe that Reese has left the area.
Crews continue to search between Tucker and England and are also looking in other areas as well as talking to Reese's friends and associates.
Prison officials say it's possible someone could have picked him up.
They're still running leads on a food/tobacco truck found in Ferda (Jefferson County), which had sleeping bags inside. The truck has not yet been tied to the escape. The truck had no tags and keys were left inside it.
The public's help is really important in helping to find Reese, says the ADC.
Reese and another inmate escaped after working inside a fire truck's water tank around 1:30 p.m. Monday. The other man was captured quickly, but Reese remains free.
He's 15 years into a 40-year sentence for the 1997 killings of two men in Saline County.
Reese is 5'10" tall and weighs 176 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes.
