Here in Arkansas, the practice is proposed in an initiative on the November ballot.
Here's a comparative study of the issue in both states:
Colorado dispensaries are for-profit and regulated by the Department of Revenue.
Arkansas dispensaries would be non-profit and both the patients and dispensaries are regulated by the Department of Health.
Colorado allows a patient to possess two ounces of marijuana at any time.
Arkansas would allow a patient to possess two-and-a-half ounces of marijuana at any time.
Colorado has no limits on dispensaries.
Arkansas would have a limit on dispensaries (currently 30).
In Colorado, there are no restrictions to where you can grow marijuana.
In Arkansas, you would have to be five miles from a dispensary to grow marijuana.
