The Cross County Sheriff is warning about a new scam that's coming in by fax.

It's a letter purported to be from the wife of the late Ghanian president and requests that you contact her through her son in South Africa about investments in the U.S. she seeks to make with a 95-million dollar inheritance from her husband.

The son's cell phone number is provided, in addition to two fax numbers for him, along with his email address.

The Cross County Sheriff sent a copy of the faxed letter today to the news media in an effort to get the word out about the scam.
