AR GOP Rally Pushing for Republican Controlled Legislature

The headline of the event: former Arkansas Governor and presidential hopeful, Mike Huckabee. He encouraged voters to make sure they push to create a Republican controlled legislature.
Supporters there said a major shift in Arkansas legislature is exactly what the state needs right now.
One man said he supports the overall goal and it's one reason he and the business he works for brought their operation back to Arkansas from overseas. He claimed the state is so close to bringing back more.
"With everything that's going on internationally and oversees and even with our North American trading partners, we are well positioned to be bringing jobs back to Arkansas and back to the entire region," Jim Houston said.
He feels that a Republican majority presence will help create an environment conducive to his and other businesses.
Governor Huckabee said the state and nation are going in the wrong direction but senses excitement rising as the state could be on the verge of a major shift in the legislature.
"Because never before has Arkansas been poised to have a Republican Speaker and a Republican Senate President and it's going to make a remarkable change," Gov. Huckabee said.
A spokesperson with the Democratic Party of Arkansas summed up Huckabee's visit saying quote, "It seems that Gov. Huckabee has been in Florida too long so he hasn't heard about our Arkansas success story of creating jobs, strengthening education and balancing our state budget while cutting taxes. We are focused on continuing Gov. Beebe's agenda to ensure that our Arkansas success story continues."
We'll of course continue to follow these tightly contested races and see who comes out on top after it's all said and done.
