Updated: October 27, 2012

Forecasters are saying Hurricane Sandy has the potential to leave millions without power on the East Coast.

Entergy Arkansas linemen and support staff are making plans to join other utility workers in the Washington area.

From there, they will travel to the affected areas to make repairs and get the power back on, if it goes out.

In total, Entergy Arkansas is sending 100 workers, including 30 internal contractors

A dozen are from the Little Rock region.

Those workers, the Baseline Entergy group will leave Arkansas in the morning.
