Craighead County Democrats Announce 1st Marion Berry Lunch

The Craighead County Democratic Central Committee announced today that it is hosting the first annual Marion Berry Luncheon on Friday, November 2, 2012, at the Jonesboro Country Club.  The event will honor Congressman Berry for his years of tireless service and dedication to the people of the 1st Congressional District. 

 

"Our part of the state has long produced elected officials who have worked on behalf of all Arkansans.  Congressman Berry is the perfect example of someone who dedicated his career to making ourregion and state better for all of its residents," said Benton Smith, chairman of the Craighead County Democratic Central Committee.  "I am excited to welcome Marion back to Jonesboro during this contentious political season.  We can all learn from his tenacity and hard work about what it means to serve.  I hope this will be the first in a long series of events honoring great Arkansas public servants such as my friend Congressman Berry."
