From frequent flier miles to rewards credit cards, we love getting reward points. Now add Entergy to the list of companies rewarding customers. You can get gift cards from Walmart, Sears, and Amazon to name a few.
Entergy Arkansas' Gerardo Galdamez showed us how it takes just five minutes to sign up for Entergy's Soutions Rewards program. Then you're on your way to rewards at your favorite stores just by lowering your electric bill.
"The neat thing is- as you save money every month, you accumulate reward points, so you actually get incentivized to be more energy efficient in your home," said Galdamez.
The program's website lists personalized steps you can take to start saving on your bill instantly- like switching to CFL light bulbs or unplugging an entertainment system. Watch your points add up as your bill goes down.
Galdamez said, "We take your energy consumption from a year ago and compare it to this year's."
The program is free, and even before making any energy saving changes in your home, you've already got points that you can cash in.
"Right away you get a hundred points just for signing up and being part of the program," Galdamez said.
So far more than 1,700 Entergy Arkansas customers are enjoying the rewards while reducing their carbon footprint.
