2 Women Killed, 2 Young Children Injured in Jackson Co. Collision

A head-on collision between a dump truck and Nissan Xterra in Jackson County has left two Manila women dead and two young boys injured.
According to the Arkansas State Police, 22-year-old Andrea R. Benham and 25-year-old Felecia J. Davis died after their 2001 Nissan Xterra collided head on with a 1991 Mack Dump Truck on State Highway 226 west of US 67 just before 1:15 Tuesday afternoon.
Also in the Xterra were 7-month-old Kayden Benham and 2-year-old Carson Benham, both from Manila, who were injured in the accident.
Andrea and Felecia were taken to Jackson Funeral Home, and the two young boys were taken to Le Bonheur Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. Their condition is currently unknown.
The driver of the dump truck, Kevin Long of Newport, was not injured.
Police say the cause of this accident is still under investigation.
All four passengers in the Xterra were wearing seat belts.
