Woman Drowns After Jumping in Lake to Save Dog

A woman drowned in Garland County on Monday.
Investigators say a woman went into the water near Treasure Isle Road to rescue her dog after it jumped into Lake Ouachita, and they were both swept away by the current into a culvert.
The woman and the dog were later pulled from the water.
Her name has not yet been released.
