Two Men Killed in ATV Accident in Pope County

Two men are dead after crashing on an all-terrain vehicle in Pope County.

Forty-two-year-old John Andrew Beard and 48-year-old Jonathan Norvell West were killed. They were from Texas.

It happened around 1:00 Saturday morning on Forest Service Road number 1310.

State Police Investigators say Beard was driving and failed to negotiate a turn. The Polaris Razor left the road and hit a tree.

Both men died on the scene.
