Update: Officer Josh Hastings Fired from LRPD

According to officials with the deparment, Hastings was terminated Friday morning around 11 a.m.
Officer Hastings claimed Moore was barrelling towards him in a car, but an investigation later revealed the car was actually in reverse.
Hastings was placed on administrative leave the day after the shooting.
The department says his firing is based on several policy violations, but will not release any further details until after his complete appeals process, which includes possible administrative, civil service, cricuit or supreme court, should he decide to go that far.
