Wednesday EF-1 Tornado Confirmed in Clarendon

Crews with the National Weather Service (NWS) in Little Rock have been in East Arkansas today to survey the storm damage.
The storm struck at around 7:40 last night.
At least one Clarendon business was damaged by the tornado At Mr. D's on South 5th Street, a wall collapsed, tossing merchandise off the shelves. A street sign also ended up bent over inside the store.

A BUILDING WAS DAMAGED IN CLARENDON...WITH PARTS OF THE BUILDING OUT IN THE STREET. MANY TREES AND POWER LINES WERE BLOWN DOWN. THE ENTERGY ELECTIC OUTAGE MAP INDICATED THE ENTIRE TOWN OF CLARENDON WAS WITHOUT POWER. EXTRA STATE TROOPERS ARE HEADED TO CLARENDON.
