Hazardous Crib Bumper?

A new study suggests crib bumpers many parents put in their newborns' cribs are a hazard. Researchers reviewed data from the u-s consumer product safety commission for this study. Between 1985 and 2005 they found 27 accidental deaths among babies and toddlers that were attributed to crib bumper pads. Some infants likely died by suffocation., others were wedged between the pads and other objects... and several reportedly died after being strangled by the bumper ties.
