Lots of us want to give to charity, but we just don't have the money. Now there's a way to give just by spending time online. It's called Sharemeister, and it was created by two guys who met here in Arkansas.

Together they're business partners, but more than that they're great friends.  And it all started in the weight room on the campus of Arkansas State.

"I was walking out of the weight room," said Arkansas native Marlon Henderson.  "He asked me to spot him.  We say we've been spotting each other ever since."

Jonathon Hoeflinger, from California, said, "Marlon was the only guy over 6 feet in the room."

Henderson and Hoeflinger are the brains behind Sharemeister- a web browser application that's taking off and giving back.

"So we spend 20 percent of our day online," said Henderson. "We turn that into money for a nonprofit."

Here's how it works, you download Sharemeister's web browser, and as you use it to surf the web, your favorite charities get donations- funded primarily through  ads on the browser's tool bar.

You can team up in friendly match ups to see who can raise the most money for your cause.

"What's powerful here is people can engage in things they care about and market their giving at the same time," said Hoeflinger.

Right now the site is hosting the "Share Your Vote Challenge."  Pick your candidate for president and help support veteran's non-profit Team Rubicon.   The site's using our differences to help others.

"It's not about how left you are or how right you are," they said.  "It's about moving forward."

To explain why they chose to support a veteran's non-profit, Sharemeister made this video-.
