The presidential race was a hot topic at Harding University, where former George W. Bush aide Karl Rove spoke Tuesday night.

Rove's appearance was part of the university's Distinguished Lecture Series.

Rove told the audience no matter who wins, the next president has a lot on his plate.

"Sometimes I wonder why anyone would want to win. Think about the challenges our country faces in the short run and in the long run," Rove said.

Rove criticized President Obama for the economic policies of the last four years, and said making any change will be difficult with a slow moving congress.
