Clinton National Airport Implementing New Baggage Checkpoints

The new checkpoints are part the airport's $67 million expansion program and allow passengers to check their luggage at the ticket counter and the agents will send the bags to the new screening building.
Airport officials say it should speed up the check-in process.
"It's a system that is able to process bags at more than double the rate of the highest peak that we've had here at Little Rock," says Federal Security Director Joe O'Gorman.
The inline scanning system uses CT scan technology to detect explosives.
