ConAgra Foods, one of North America's leading food companies, has announced that it will close its Odom's Tennessee Pride facility late next spring.
ConAgra spokesman Dan Hare says via an email to KARK 4 that the company's "decision to transition the operations is based on the company's interest in making the same high-quality food that Odom's Tennessee Pride is known for with the most competitive cost structure possible."
"We appreciate the service of our employees in Little Rock and are committed to providing transitional support as part of the process," Hare also says.
Odom's Tennessee Pride, a leading producer of frozen and refrigerated breakfast sandwiches and sausage, was bought by ConAgra in April. The acquisition included facilities in Little Rock, Dickson, Tennessee, and its headquarters office in Madison, Tennessee.
Hare says ConAgra expects its Dickson facility to continue to grow as the business expands.
ConAgra Foods, Inc. owns brands that include Banquet, Chef Boyardee, Egg Beaters, Hebrew National, Hunt's, Marie Callender's, Orville Redenbacher's, PAM, Peter Pan, Reddi-wip, Slim Jim, Snack Pack and others.
