Man Shot, Killed in Sebastian County

The Sebastian County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Sunday evening.
Deputies responded to Highway 96 W in reference to a shooting around 7:00 Sunday night, where they found a man performing CPR on 44-year-old Danny Massey, who had severe injuries.
The responding deputies took over CPR efforts until EMS arrived, but Massey was not responding to the revival efforts and died at the scene.
A suspect was located and taken into custody, where he gave a formal statement and was released.
No arrest has been made, as the investigation is ongoing.
