Some Arkansas convicts may be trading prison jumpsuits for ankle monitors.

An early release plan for inmates who have served four months could allow them to go free if they can pay for a monitor.

Corrections officials say it would cost a little more than $200, and they're confident inmates can get the money if it means an early release.

But some lawmakers questioned the cost, saying maybe the state should pay for the monitor instead of incarceration.
