Deshaun Rushing, 16, attends Hall High, according to police.
He was arrested Friday night after officers staking out a bank ATM along Rodney Parham Road allegedly caught him in the act of robbing a man.
Police arrested Rushing inside an apartment about a block away after he ran from officers who ordered him to drop his weapon and police lost sight of him. A short time later, Rushing was taken into custody from 1400 Old Forge Road, where he lived.
Rushing is charged with one count of aggravated robbery, one count of theft of property. He's being held on $15,000 bond.
Police were staking out the Regions Bank ATM at 10124 N. Rodney Parham Road after two holdups there on September 11th and 28th. In both cases, the victims were ordered at gunpoint to enter their pin numbers and withdraw cash for the suspects.
Rushing is suspected in those robberies and police say detectives were able to identify a second suspect. Additional charges are expected after further investigation.
