Fort Smith Man Dies When Motorcycle Crashes into Mailbox

A Fort Smith man has died after his motorcycle crashed into a brick and concrete mailbox over the weekend.

It happened Sunday morning around 8:45 along South Albert Pike Avenue in Fort Smith.

Terry W. Nichols, 59, was killed when his Harley Davidson bike went off the road in a curve, according to an Arkansas State Police (ASP) accident report.

The ASP says Nichols was headed north and approaching South "S" Street when the crash occurred.
