It may be too chilly for you to head to the pool, but it was perfect weather for some four-legged friends in Little Rock Saturday.
Around 25 dogs were out at the Jim Dailey Fitness Center Pool at War Memorial Saturday afternoon for Doggie Paddle Day.
All of the money raised goes to the Friends of Animal Village to help find loving animals their forever homes.
The organization is always in need of money to help make this possible.
Sandy Moore, a board member on the Friends of Animal Village, says, "The need is huge in Little Rock. We have a huge overpopulation in Arkansas -- especially Little Rock -- and the Little Rock Animal Village is the pound, so every animal that is in the city -- stray or surrendered -- goes to the Animal Village."
Another important message the organization wants to get out: be sure to spay and neuter your pets to help with the overpopulation problem in the city and the state.
