Little Rock Police say Brent Walker, 28, is believed to have jumped from one of the bridges in the downtown area.
His body was found underneath the Main Street bridge.
Police say Walker's mother had reported him missing on Monday.
According to Little Rock Police, the man had called North Little Rock Police and told them he was going to jump off one of the river bridges. Investigators determined he was talking about the Junction river bridge.
Police say while no one reported seeing a man jump into the river, rescue crews were called in to search the water but found nothing. Police then started a missing person investigation on Walker.
On Thursday, two boaters reported seeing a body in the river on the North Little Rock side of the Main Street bridge. Walker was pulled from the water a short time later. A driver's license found in the man's wallet identified him.
The body has been taken to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy but police say no foul play is suspected.
