Burn Ban Violations Bring Cash to Counties

The burn bans covering most of the state this summer meant revenue for many counties.

The Pope County quorum court accepted more than $600 to its general fund through fines collected from people violating the burn ban.
   
Pulaski County stands to gain about the same amount from fines.
   
The county treasurer says that's only when the people charged with violating the ban finally appear in court.
