Curtis Nelson bought the lucky ticket at Snack & Shop in Pine Bluff.
The lucky win was in the Natural State Jackpot game.
The Arkansas-only Natural State Jackpot's $1 tickets went on sale on August 27. The first jackpot win was on September 13, with a $100,000 prize hit by a Mountain Home player who has not yet come forward to claim the prize.
The Natural State Jackpot is sold exclusively in Arkansas, with very good odds of winning, say lottery officials. In addition to the two jackpots, Arkansas players have won an additional $240,000 in lower tier prizes.
Nelson said that so far, he only has plans to pay bills with the money. He said the first person he told about the winning ticket was his wife.
The drawings are at 8 p.m. every night except Sunday. If you want to play daily without repeated trips to the store, you can buy extended-play NSJ tickets for up to 20 plays.
