An Olympic medalist was at home in Little Rock Saturday.

Michael Tinsley competed in the 2012 London Olympics back in July, coming out with the silver medal for the 400 meter hurdles.

Tinsley met and talked with fans and signed autographs at the Pleasant Ridge Town Center.

Through the meet and greet, he hopes to inspire young athletes to follow their dreams.

He says,  "Just always follow your goals, train hard and stay focused. Make sure you always get your grades and listen to your coaches. Sometimes, right now, it may not seem like the right thing to do, but they're telling you right, and if you keep working hard and doing what you're supposed to, you can achieve your goals."

Tinsley also says he's currently training for the world championship team in Germany next year, and then getting ready for the 2016 games in Rio.
