Bentonville Teen Hit by School Bus

A teenager in Bentonville is in the hospital after being hit by a school bus.

According to school officials, a 16-year-old female Bentonville High School student was hit by the bus while crossing the street near the intersection of Southwest 14th and P Streets around 4:00 p.m.

It was a Bentonville school bus that was involved in the accident.

The student was taken to Northwest Medical Center.

Police say the girl's injuries are life-threatening, but they don't have any further information at this time.

Officers say they are interviewing witnesses about the accident.
