A long time Italian eatery in Little Rock is getting ready to say goodbye.

The Villa has been a part of the community for more than 30 years.

Owner Ken Shivey says he's tried everything from television and radio to coupons, but business is still slow and he doesn't want to go into debt, so the only thing to do is shut the place down.

"And at 70 years young I don't want to go in debt," Shivey says. "So I have no choice, it's time to say 'uncle.'"

Shivey said it has been overwhelming with customers coming by after they heard about the closing of the restaurant.

The Villa will stay open Thursday night for regular business hours unless the food runs out first.
