The CodeRed Alert System and a very observant Boys and Girls Club employee get the credit for helping find a missing Conway girl so quickly on Wednesday.
Police say Ava Osborn, who rides the bus to and from school, got on the van that took her to the Boys and Girls Club on Deer Street. When she didn't get off the bus at home, her mom became worried. Dad went to the school, police were called and helped search the school and area.
Meanwhile, the CodeRed Alert system sent out a message about the missing girl. The unit director, Jessie Ross got the alert on her cell phone and noticed a child she hadn't seen before. Ross realized the child was Ava and called police.
Ava, who didn't realize she was lost, was reunited with her parents back at Ellen Smith Elementary.
