How Arkansans Can Take Part in Nationwide Trail Ride in November Honoring Veterans

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: October 3, 2012
A nationwide trail ride in November honors America's veterans and anyone in Arkansas can get involved.

"Ride to Remember" is sponsored by the American Competitive Trail Horse Association (ACTHA).

It's going on over the Veterans Day weekend, November 10th & 11th.

There's still time to organize a ride in your area in honor of our Armed Forces.

Trail horse enthusiasts are encouraged to gather their horse riding friends and pay tribute to our nation's servicemen and women. All you need is six miles of trail and a couple of acres to park trailers.

Ride Hosts will be able to donate a portion of their ride proceeds to a charity in their community which supports their local wounded warriors and to the national organization Horses for Heroes - New Mexico, INC.

To set up a local Ride to Remember, call Tina Mae Weber (573) 434-1716 or email her at tinamae@actha.us.
